What WidePane the app does with your data
Your source code, prompts, conversations, API keys, terminal output, and local model traffic stay on your machine. Model requests go directly from your device to the provider you choose. WidePane does not proxy your provider calls and does not upload your workspace.
What your website account stores
To create an account we store your email, a display name (optional), an optional company, a strongly hashed password, your verification/login timestamps, your plan, and a redacted audit log of security‑relevant account actions (with a coarsened IP prefix and truncated user agent). We do not store your code, prompts, or keys on our servers.
Verification and reset codes
One‑time codes are stored only as hashes, are single‑use, and expire. They are never written to logs.
Telemetry
The app ships with telemetry off. The account service records only coarse, non‑identifying funnel counters (e.g. “a registration completed”), with no IP, email, or user id in those counters.
We send transactional email only: verification and password‑reset codes. We do not send marketing email during beta.
Deletion
During beta, email support@widepane.com from your account address to request deletion of your account and data.
